Traditional Bamboo Bed Crafting in Kerala
Our workshop in Wayanad, Kerala specializes in creating durable and comfortable bamboo beds using techniques passed down through generations. Each bed frame is handcrafted by our team of 12 local artisans, led by master craftsman Rajesh Menon, who has been working with bamboo for over 30 years.
We source our bamboo from sustainable local farms within 50 kilometers of our workshop, ensuring the highest quality materials while supporting local farmers. Our beds are treated using traditional natural methods that have proven effective for decades.
Kerala's Finest Bamboo: From Local Farms to Your Bedroom
4-5 Year Old Premium Bamboo, Hand-Selected by Master Craftsman Rajesh
Kerala-Sourced Bamboo
We use Bambusa Balcooa and Dendrocalamus Strictus varieties, known for their strength. Our bamboo is harvested at 4-5 years of age for optimal durability, sourced from certified farms in Wayanad.

Traditional Joinery
Each joint is crafted using mortise and tenon technique, reinforced with natural bamboo pins. This method, perfected over generations, ensures beds last 15-20 years with proper care.

Natural Treatment
We treat our bamboo using the traditional salt and boric solution method for 14 days, followed by natural air drying for 30 days. This process ensures protection against insects and moisture.
